Strong Like Me is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing 100% human hair wigs to individuals starting chemotherapy.
Our mission is to make this transition as positive and comfortable as possible, helping those affected by cancer feel strong and confident on their road to recovery.
A person's self-perception and how others perceive them play significant roles in their well-being. A new or recurring cancer diagnosis is exceptionally challenging, compounded by the physical changes that serve as constant reminders of the illness.
Illness can lead to feelings of hopelessness, vulnerability, and a loss of control. When combined with the pressure of social media, which often emphasizes missed opportunities and unrealistic standards of perfection, it can profoundly affect mental health, self-esteem, and resilience for many individuals.
